We will hold our regular monthly meeting Thursday, May 19th at 6:30pm at Oaklyn Library. This month, State Representative Wendy McNamara will talk with WROC members regarding issues being addressed in the current legislative session and what it takes to run for the position. Members of Women R.O.C. are invited to bring potential members to the meeting. Children and students are also always welcome to attend. We would like to thank Mary Ellen VanDyke for being our guest speaker last night Thursday, March 17th at our Membership Meeting. We can’t thank her enough for the wonderful information she shared with our group. We especially thank her for her tireless fight for the unborn.
Please don’t forget to attend the upcoming 2011 Right to Life Banquet on April 7th at The Centre in Downtown Evansville. Doors open at 5pm and Dinner is served at 6pm. Pam Tebow will be speaking. If you weren’t able to make our “Member’s Only” meeting last night, Thursday, February 17th, it’s okay! There’s still plenty of time for you to give us your input! We want to know what YOU want to know! Are there any specific topics you want us to cover in our future meetings? How about a specific guest speaker you’d like to hear from or someone you know that would like to come and talk to our group? With the different city elections this year, are you interested in learning more about the offices, the candidates, or how you can help with a campaign? We really want to hear from you so we can plan our meetings to be informative, interesting and fun. There is no topic or idea too big or small. We are here for you. You can always seek out a board member or submit your ideas on our website on the “Contact Us” page. We really look forward to hearing from you! You all Rock!

Thank you to John Hostettler, former 8th District Congressman and current Constitution Institute President, for addressing a very packed Women Right of Center meeting last Thursday evening, January 27 at 6:30 p.m. at McCollough Library. If you weren’t able to attend you missed a great event! WROC hopes to be able to host a seminar in the future for the Constition Institute. The Constitution Institute is a nonpartisan, non-profit organization with a mission to promote greater understanding of the United States Constitution and provide education regarding citizens’ everyday application of its principles. As Institute president, Hostettler — a former six-term congressman — will lead presentations across Indiana and outside the state covering various sections of the Constitution.
